A payroll officer & bookkeeper is required to join a growing business with lots of opportunities to develop your skills and be part of a small but vibrant and energetic team.

You will report into the Directors at the practice and will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients ensuring that their book-keeping needs are met. You will have a proven track record in a similar position ideally with a relevant qualification. Plus you will require excellent communication skills, ability and confidence to meet with clients if necessary.

Tasks will include; purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations using Xero and Receipt Bank. Monthly and weekly payroll for multiple clients, including CIS subcontractor payroll.

- Solid book-keeping and payroll experience, including the Construction Industry Scheme
- A friendly, grounded and trustworthy individual
- Ability to work on your own essential
- Xero experience is preferred, but not essential
- Fully competent with outlook & excel
- Experience of working within a small accountancy practice will be advantageous

Salary of £13,455 to £14,625, based on three days per week, 9am to 5pm.

Workplace pension

Redditch, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Birmingham.

Own car is essential due to location and possibility of travel to client offices locally. Car parking on site.

Hours/days of work are flexible, total weekly hours 22.5.
