Our client, a leading technology company based in Leeds City Centre are now looking for a Head of Assurance and Response to join the team.

Of paramount important to the business is its culture of continuous improvement and this role will help to ensure that this continues as the company grows - by building and delivering assurance activities and incident response management across the business.

Role Duties and responsibilities;
  • Propose and implement a framework and approach for the Assurance & Response function of the business. Working with the CFOO and other key stakeholders, the proposal should take into account operational requirements as well as the risk profile of the business, ensuring that there is transparency with the executive team and board and that objectives are aligned.
  • Establish and continuously develop the Assurance & Response team at a strategic, operational and tactical level. This will include line management of the team and the interpretation of company objectives into team and individual priorities.
  • Be a catalyst for change, working with stakeholders to ensure assurance activities are used as a mechanism to improve processes and outcomes and that recommendations are acted on.
  • Management and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures across the business, ensuring that these are implemented and documented to a high standard, regularly reviewed, continuously improved and easily available.
  • In co-ordination with the service delivery and customer success teams, undertake reviews of the configuration of service offerings as well as individual customer implementations to ensure they are optimised and consistent with service descriptions and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have;
  • An Internal audit, Governance or Compliance background with experience of working in an end-to-end, 24x7x365 delivery environment, preferably gained in a complex and technology led organisation dealing day to day with high profile customers.
  • Strong knowledge of incident response and investigation processes.
  • Understanding of risk identification, management and control methodologies.
  • Experience of gaining and/or maintaining security accreditations such as SOC2.
  • Operational knowledge of GDPR.
  • Experience of liaison with law enforcement agencies.
