One of London's most establish Property Management Company based in South West London is looking to recruit a Lettings Accountant to join their large Lettings Accounts team. They cover the London property market and need someone who is driven, hardworking and career motivated. In this role you must be versatile and able to work within a large team as they strongly believe in team work.

The role of the Lettings Accountant will include:

To carry out daily back office processes efficiently and in a timely manner to ensure that the
Client Accounts team deliver the service standards required of it by the business. To provide
support to the Client Accounts team to ensure they are able to achieve their daily objectives
and minimise the company's exposure to financial risk.
  • Complete the daily import of the division's bank statement
  • Ensuring that all non-allocated payments are investigated and assigned correctly
  • Offset previous day's payments on the bank reconciliation.
  • Accurately reconcile all outgoing and incoming payments ensuring that payments and receipts balance.
  • Monitor and maintain the CML cash book on a daily basis
  • Process direct debit requests, accurately and within given deadlines of the rent due
    date to minimise any delays in timely rent collection
  • Process direct debit submissions
  • Enter direct debits onto the CML system
  • Process all card payments taken through the Cardnet system onto CML
  • Complete the daily and monthly payment runs for landlords and tenants
  • Import the payment batches onto the company's banking system
  • Provide cover for the Accounts Assistant role
  • Support the management team with ad hoc tasks as appropriate to ensure the smooth
    and efficient running of the department.
  • Run weekly/monthly control reports to ensure data continuity

For this role I'm looking for somebody with the following skills and past experience:
  • Similar experience working the client accounts function of residential lettings agency.
  • IT literate - Outlook, Word, Excel and preferably experienced in using relevant client
    accounts and client information systems such as CML. Excel experienced ideally
    extends to using Excel VLOOKUP functions and Pivot Tables.
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and cope with changing priorities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly and a Team Player

The salary for this role is up to £32,000 depending on experience.
