JOB TITLE: Software Developer
LOCATION: East Sussex
DURATION: 6 months minimum
PAY RATE: £350 per day
START DATE: ASAP
IR35 STATUS: Inside

Main Purpose

The main purpose of the role is to deliver high quality software. This will include actively participating in all phases of the software development life cycle. This will include: understanding requirements, participating in design meetings, developing and implementing high quality code and subsequently consulting with clients to refine, test and debug programmes to meet business needs.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop, test and implement new software programs
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
Design and update software. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes and User Interfaces
Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimisation
Independently install, customise and integrate software packages
Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues
Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
Resolve complex technical design issues
Development of technical specifications and plans
Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
Possess strong problem solving and decision making skills while using good judgement
Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composureYou will also be required to participate in regular team meetings, offering your suggestions and ideas, as well as offering advice and guidance to less experienced members of the team where appropriate.

Key Technical Skills Required

Experience of working with the .Net Standard and Core Frameworks
Net Core / MVC
Asp Web API .Net Core 2.1
Strong Proficiency in C# with good knowledge of its ecosystems
Previous experience of VB.Net a plus.
SQL
HTML, CSS
JavaScript incl. good understanding of modern JS libraries and workflows (WebPack, SPA etc.)
Git Source Control
Continuous Integration & Deployment experience a plus. (Azure Devops)
Experienced in writing, consuming RESTful services (JSON)
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Understanding of Azure cloud solutions
