Our Compliance function in Glasgow has been growing of late and we are looking for an experienced compliance professional to join us to lead our Breach Management and Reward team. In this role you would be responsible for delivering the Breach Management & Reward program to all Barclays' businesses in the region and contributing to the success and effectiveness of the program globally.What will you be doing?Ensure successful delivery of projects and execution of business as usual activitiesContribute to developing the department's strategy and its implementation for further embedding and expanding the breach management programLead innovation and change that results in improved effectiveness, efficiency, consistency and brandingLead the systems enhancement and development for the departmentServe as the primary liaison with IT in the development of business requirements documents, and user acceptance testingAssist in developing responses to regulatory inquiries and internal audits that pertain to the BM&R functionDevelop and maintain business relationships within Compliance and specific business contacts (e.g. COOs of businesses)Maintain good working relations with our counterparts in Human Resources in the context of breach escalations Contribute to the enhancement of the department and firm's culture.What we're looking for:Proven track record of experience in Compliance, a risk function of the financial industryAbility to manage conflict and difficult issues in a professional and proactive manner while remaining sensitive to business needsCapable of representing and enforcing compliance with regulations with personnel at all levels of seniority, Ability to lead complex projects and analyze complex situations /issues and distil them into easy to understand presentations.Skills that will help you in the role:Experience in all MS applications, advanced capabilities using Excel, PowerPoint and Word Knowledge of UK regulationsProject management skills Undergraduate degree or equivalent, or qualified by relevant business experience Where will you be working?This role will be based in the Aurora Building, 1 of our 3 modern City Centre locations until our exciting new campus location overlooking the River Clyde at Buchanan Wharf is opened in 2020.
