Brodie Cashmere is a fast-growing UK based wholesale knitwear company producing luxury and contemporary pure cashmere knitwear. We sell our product principally into the UK, EU and USA markets. We pride ourselves in offering fashion forward cashmere knitwear. We specialise in cashmere ladies wear but are developing our menswear, as well as a cotton/silk range.

We are seeking a highly professional, experienced and motivated purchase ledger clerk to join our team. We offer a very desirable opportunity for the correct candidate to further their career within the business.

We are a small team who work collaboratively across all departments. The right candidate will be integral to assisting the accounts department to operate efficiently.

In the role you will have prime responsibility for:
  • Setting up new suppliers;
  • Keeping existing supplier data up to date;
  • Checking stock and sample invoices against agreed seasonal pricing;
  • Checking our key suppliers are invoicing within the agreed billing frameworks;
  • Processing supplier invoices;
  • Processing supplier credit notes;
  • Allocating supplier invoices to the correct nominal codes;
  • Processing all debit and credit card receipts;
  • Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliation;
  • Producing a weekly purchase payment schedule;
  • Filing purchase ledger paperwork;
  • Undertaking additional departmental duties as required.

We are looking for a passionate purchase ledger clerk who has an enthusiastic and proactive attitude.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for this position, as well as the ability to communicate clearly with great telephone skills. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Previous purchase ledger experience: minimum 2 years (Required)
  • Xero: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Proficient on excel

It is important that the successful applicant can work well in a busy office environment and be flexible with their work approach. The successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of the importance of their role within the business and demonstrate that they will undertake it accurately and diligently.
