Band 5 Clinical Systems Trainer

The Clinical Systems Trainer role is part of the ICT Strategy & Delivery team and is responsible for delivering a consultancy led approach to customer training. The role will be undertaken within a matrix environment and is a key role in ensuring good customer relations.

The post holder will manage their own workload on a day-to-day basis, refine departmental procedure and act independently to action and prioritise work to meet deadlines. Day to day responsibilities will include contributing within the GPIT Team to support GPs to fully optimise the use of IT and Clinical Systems.

Location: Ashford

Temporary: Expected to last around 4 months with possible extension

Hours per week: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm

Salary: £15.50per hour umbrella or £13.00per hour paye depending on experience

Knowledge & Experience
  • Knowledge of one or more clinical systems, hardware or software acquired through a diploma or equivalent experience /qualification
  • Relevant knowledge of Primary care NHS system
  • Experience of delivering training to individuals and/or groups, clinical /nonclinical
  • Experience of planning training setting objective and outcomes creating lesson plans and training materials
  • Knowledge of NHS national application
  • Significant experience in office administration including diary management and meeting organisation
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Experience of knowledge and information management
  • Experience of managing sensitive information

Role specific duties and responsibilities
  • Provide high quality training and consultancy to include but not exclusive to service delivery, project delivery, service initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
  • Develop & deliver training as required and specified by the organisation and customers
  • Support the development of the Primary Care Customer Experience Team by developing and improving training as specified through organisation and customer demand.
  • Maintain a consultative approach to delivery of training outcomes to meet customer demands
  • Support the development and delivery of e-learning according to own areas of expertise
  • Support delivery of the Primary Care Enabling Services to GP Practices, Pharmacists and Optometrists
  • Support delivery of the Primary Care Transformation fund services as directed by manager
  • Manage work streams as delegated by manager
  • Work to deadlines as set by manager
  • To provide briefings on new policies or changes to existing policies to inform the ICT communication strategy
  • Provide effective second line support to customers investigating and closing calls logged to the training team queue. There may be a requirement to escalate calls to other service leads when appropriate.
  • Analyse and act on feedback both positive and negative to enhance the development of the training service
  • The post holder will undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery
  • The post holder is a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.
