Local Authority within Bromley (BR1)

£18.27 PAYE P/H (Umbrella option available at higher rate)

TEMP ROLE FOR 6 MONTHS

Purpose of role:

1.To develop and provide comprehensive business intelligence to support strategic and operational planning and the performance management of either Children and Education or Adults and Housing services.

2. To work collaboratively with operational and senior managers to promote and ensure the added value of business intelligence to the planning and delivery of services.

3. To provide advanced level analytic skills to the performance team and to operational services to enhance needs analysis, strategy development, performance reporting and ad hoc 'deep dives'.

4. To use personal creativity and thinking 'outside the box' to enhance analysis and understanding of service issues to support service improvement strategies.

5. To lead on the provision of data and information for self-evaluation and position statements for inspections and peer reviews of services.

6. To lead on the provision of data and information to support the greater sophistication of commissioning.

Essential Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

1. Highly developed skills in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of complex data and information in respect of either Children and Education or Adults and Housing services.

2. Ability to produce accessible reports for a wide range of purposes and audiences.

3. Advanced level skills in using a variety of IT software and tools to aid the analysis and interpretation of data and information and to deliver reports.

4. Ability to coach and train others in the use of analytic skills and tools.

5. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical, professional and non-specialist audiences.

6. Ability to conduct and utilise relevant research to inform needs analysis and reporting.

7. Ability to work creatively and flexibly, taking a logical and analytic approach to work objectives and prioritisation and having strong attention to detail. 8. Ability to progress multiple pieces of analytical work simultaneously and to change focus flexibly and accurately as requested by managers.

9. Commitment to and skills in collaborative working.

10.Good understanding of the legislative and regulatory frameworks for either Children and Education or Adults and Housing services and their operating models.

11. Good understanding of planning and performance management frameworks in either Children and Education or Adults and Housing services.

12. Good understanding of information governance and data protection principles and requirements
