Special Behavioural Needs Teaching Assistant required for a KS2 child in Widnes

Your new school
Highly rated mainstream primary school in Widnes are looking to expand their support network for the 2019/2020 academic year. They are currently recruiting a morning teaching assistant with SEN experience where you will predominantly be working 1:1 with a child with learning difficulties. This fantastic opportunity allows you to work from 8:30am - 12:30pm 5 days a week.

Your new role

You must be a friendly and welcoming professional who has previous roles supporting pupils with additional needs socially and emotionally. You will be placed in a KS2 class along-side the class teacher to support the additional needs pupil to progress academically and socially within the classroom setting. Your main role will be one-to-one support to encourage the pupil with SEN to interact in a respectable and appropriate manner.

What you'll need to succeed
You must hold a level 3 qualification in Childcare and ideally have experience working with an SEN pupil for at least 6 weeks in the last two years (paid or voluntary) either with a mainstream or SEND setting. You must have a passion to work with children with special requirements to help support their development and quality of learning in a calm and confident matter.
