Infrastructure Engineer

You'll be responsible for providing 3rd Line Support across business as usual and project based work, within a 1,000 user base. You'll be taking care of Server and Office 365 migrations, Cisco networking and a range of other technologies. The role sits within a great infrastructure team who invest in training and qualifications.

My client currently manufactures all across the UK, with around 25 sites spanning the country. They believe in encouraging all of their staff to continuously upskill, and to challenge themselves within their role. It isn't your typical "keep things ticking over" environment- you'll be working for a business who are always looking at pushing forward!


As the Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
  • Providing BAU 3rd Line support
  • Acting as an escalation point for 1st/2nd Line queries
  • supporting and mentoring the 1st Line Service Desk
  • Involvement in project work, including current Office 365 migration and server upgrades
  • Occasional involvement in some 2nd Line support if required
  • Implementation of IT infrastructure solutions according to requirements and design
  • Reporting to Infrastructure Manager


To be successful for this Infrastructure Engineer position, you need to:
  • Have experience across Office 365, and ideally have taken part in O365 migrations
  • Experience in Windows 7-10
  • Have good knowledge of Windows Server 2003- 2016, including server upgrades
  • Have a good understanding ideally of Netapp and/or Cisco networking
  • Have experience across Vmware or HyperV environments

Job Offer

Salaried up to £35,000 with training and qualifications paid for.
