You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.Our team helps our clients with compliance across all taxes, statutory accounting and complex tax reporting. You'll focus on bookkeeping and monthly reporting, drafting, auditing and filing of local statutory financial statements, and transaction processing.ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and aboveBe involved in the financial management of clientsBe actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clientsContribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumenDevelop strategies to solve complex technical challengesAssist in the management and delivering of large projectsTrain, coach, and supervise staffKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issuesContinue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brandYour work will be primarily:Managing interpersonal relations and building the morale of the teamReviewing completed financial statements and related notesReviewing personal and corporate tax returns and other information returns and related correspondenceProviding assistance to clients with payroll, GST and other related complianceEnsuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with our prescribed standards and billed in a timely mannerRequirements5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting1+ years in a managerial roleStrong understanding of ASPE and Canadian personal and corporate income taxes for private enterprisesCanadian CPA designation or equivalentProficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Quickbooks, Simply Accounting, Google, Caseware and Tax Prep an asset.Commitment to excellence and personal investment; passion for excellent client service.Strong analytical capacity, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned a reputation of providing excellence in client service.Demonstrates integrity, ethical decision-making and behaviors that build trust across teams and with clientsBuilds trust and independently manages client relationships.
