Job Title: Account Manager, Design & Manufacturing Education - UK Location: UK - Farnborough or Birmingham Job ID: 19WD34172 Position Overview Are you enthused by manufacturing industry trends and the 'Future of Making Things'? Do you want to enable educators and students to teach and learn the newest tools around cloud-based design and collaboration, additive manufacturing and generative design? If so, we want to hear from you. This role is responsible for driving awareness and adoption of our newest Autodesk technologies at Universities throughout UK. You will develop effective working relationships with Deans, Department Chairs, Professors and administrators within the education sector, but also with student organisations and teams in order to build networks and communities, making our solutions visual and increasing the adoption into the curriculum without the hard sell. Responsibilities Demonstrate ability to earn customer respect as a trusted advisor and thought leader Support overall Education team efforts in the development and delivery of special events, training and on-campus activities Recruit and support student representatives at assigned education institutions Work with product development divisions to understand technical trends, thought leadership messaging and ongoing product updates Initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with key education partners and professional organizations Leverage team technical expertise in appropriate software workflow Provide monthly metric reports on progress toward goals Qualifications BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design. MS, PhD or MBA helpful Exposure to Higher Education - Adjunct Professor would be ideal Knowledge of 3D Design software: Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or Inventor, SolidWorks or other competitive products - ideally from commercial/sales experience Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with education customers and industry partners Confident at presenting and discussing industry workflows and practices as well as their application in the academic environment Proven ability to influence others and drive results in a matrix organization Ability to build rapport with a wide variety of internal and external constituents Ability to use multiple presentation tools and techniques, adapting/fitting them to audience and topic Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to explain issues in a clear, concise, and logical manner Capacity to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed group Ability to travel 40% of time to educational institutions, conferences and other education-related events About Autodesk With Autodesk software, you have the power to Make Anything.
