Post: Secondary SEN (Muscular Dystrophy) Teaching Assistant
Status: 1 Year Fixed Term - Full time
Salary: £80-100 Per Day (depending on experience)
Start date: As Soon As Possible
Working Hours: 08:30 - 3:30 - MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Responsible to: Assisting with general support and 1.1 assistance throughout the school
Prospero Teaching are actively seeking a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant for a secondary school with an "Outstanding" Ofsted report to support pupils with muscular dystrophy. You will be required to work in both 1:1 and intervention group situations with pupils across various year groups at the school.
In regards to the school, it has a proven track record in maintaining and even exceeding national averages, with 95% of students progressing to university after leaving.
One of the other benefits that the school offers is that it has great local transport links near the London brought of Barnet, with 3 stations within a 20 minute radius, making it an easy commute for applicants that use public transport.

Essential skills:
*Coordinating with teachers to implement personal learning plans for SEN students
*Produce appropriate material for 1:1 and group work
*Need to be qualified, or have a desire to support SEN students
*Ability to safeguard and encourage the welfare of students
*Experience and an understanding of what is required when working with SEN children
