This role is critical to the trading performance of the business. As the Finance Analyst you will work closely with the product profitability owners and SMEs to proactively highlight risks and opportunities to trading performance and influence these individuals as to the optimum solution. You will also support the Financial Reporting team in the month end process, whilst supporting the wider business by proactively producing complex trading performance scenario analysis


As the 'FinanceAnalyst' you will be responsible for first financial review of trading business cases, whilst maintaining and refining life time value calculations for B2C products. Within the role you will proactively highlight and escalate trading upsides, risks and opportunities and work with SMEs regarding actions to be taken.

Other key accountabilities will include:
  • Understanding in detail the cause and quantum of trading performance issues, risks and upsides and their impact of Forecast/Budget
  • Acting as the Finance representative in trading performance meetings/stand ups. Being the go to person for financial analytical trading queries.
  • Proactively support major trading decisions through analysis and financial challenge
  • Responsible for proactively producing complex product profitability analysis
  • Working with the business in proactively identifying, scoping and delivering trading performance MI improvements
  • Working with the FP&A Manager, actively challenge trading assumptions in the Forecast/Budget
  • Support on commercial finance led projects as required


We are preferably looking for someone with previous experience in a fast paced transactional industry who is part qualified or looking to study ACA/ACCA/CIMA. You should have advanced analytical skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy, whilst demonstrating proactive approach to challenges, underlined by a strong drive and work ethic.

Ideally you will:
  • Have the ability to present complex information methodically, clearly and concisely
  • Be able to influence and co-ordinate others to deliver the desired outcome
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers which allow for the robustly challenge of inputs and views held by others
  • Be highly organised
  • Have Experience of using Tableau and/or Anaplan an advantage but not a necessity
