Fast growing Private equity backed business in the Warrington area requires an Assistant Project Accountant.

This company has gone through a period of growth and hence several projects have been identified for implementation to improve financial control and automate manual processes. Supporting the Project Accountant in overall project delivery, you will need to take responsibility for finance projects such as automation, financial reporting, and development and documentation of financial controls.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the end-to-end delivery of all finance projects, this will include documentation of existing processes, alongside system notes and process flowcharts for new processes.
• Support all business change resulting from project implementation, this will include working across departments and engagement with stakeholders.
• Design and implement financial controls appropriate to the business activities.
• Write quality financial policy documenting the financial controls in operation.
• Training finance team members, and process stakeholders, on newly implemented processes, including the production of user guides and training manuals.
• Take ownership of data management and cleanse tasks required during the delivery of the wider finance project.
• Support our systems team in the development of Oracle NetSuite
• Support in project management and reporting to Financial Senior Leadership Team

You will need to have previous experience of implementing and documenting financial control policies as well as project work, including taking ownership for implementation of new processes. Experience of Oracle would be an advantage although not essential as long as you have experience on large ERP systems and advanced Excel. Accountancy qualifications aren't essential but you will need to have experience of general accounting processes such as transaction processing and reporting, in order to assist engagement with wider teams. Good attention to detail, communication skills and ability to mange your own workload and prioritisation of new tasks are essential.
