Package on offer

Salary: £20,000

Location: South London
  • Holiday allowance 25 days, 28 after 5 years.
  • Pension 3%, and after 5 years increases to 5%

Our client is an award-winning event business organising hundreds of events annually.

As Event Administrator you will assist the Senior Events Manager and the team with the organisation, administration and delivery of a variety of events including but not limited to Study Days, Roadshows, Conferences, Awards and Expos. The post holder will be required to work occasional evenings outside of office hours to fulfil the duties of the role.

The ideal candidate will be a fast thinker, multi-tasker and be able to handle a busy work load. Preference given to candidates who have gained equivalent experience working in an event and marketing related role. Must possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills both written and verbal. It is also essential to be confident and skilled at building and developing relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key duties include:
  • Supporting the events team with all ad hoc duties
  • Answering event email queries across all events
  • To maintain a high level of customer service at all times
  • Keeping track marketing: e-shot, ads in journals etc
  • Checking the data lists are correct
  • Updating event websites
  • Handling any special requests that may come up - promotional materials, arranging specific music, entertainment, having special features at an event
  • Gathering quotes for promotional materials
  • Arranging the accommodation, transportation etc for staff members
  • Maintain monthly budgets up to date and research suppliers to ensure ROI and GP margins are kept high
