As a Junior Business Partner at BD, your brief will be to work as a trusted advisor to the business team to understand comprehensively and help support the direction and achievement of the business area goals, gaining meaningful insight into the underlying drivers of sales performance, using insights gained to challenge assumptions and inform decision-making.

Your key responsibility will be provision of qualitative, initiative-based analysis to create insight for performance management and support key decision making.

We are looking for a business partner or qualified / part qualified accountant wanting a move into a commercial business partnering role, to support as a trusted advisor, the BD Interventional Business Unit to provide analytical and sales operations support.

As a Business Partner at BD, your brief will be to work as a trusted advisor to the business team to understand comprehensively and help support the direction and achievement of the business area goals, gaining meaningful insight into the underlying drivers of sales performance, using insights gained to challenge assumptions and inform decision-making.

Your key responsibility will be provision of qualitative, initiative-based analysis to create insight for performance management and support key decision making.

Main Responsibilities (to include but are not limited to);
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis - Support the BDI business by providing business critical reports and analysis for use by BDI Senior Management team and UK Board (Bard). Critical reports include the following:
  • Sales Trends by product, customer and geographic region for both direct and non-direct sales
  • Pricing Model
  • NHS Procedural and tariff data
  • Competitor dynamic
  • Sales Force effectiveness metrics
  • For the Non-Direct (Community) Market this role will review, establish and maintain a suite of business reports for monthly reporting to sales teams and management
  • The above reporting and analysis will be need to be reported accurately and on a timely and regular basis
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis per business requirements.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) maintenance and being responsible for a number of critical tasks in JD Edwards financial systems
  • Informed Decision Making - Perform detailed insightful and coherent analyses to inform tactical decision making in-country and help the business to manage risks.
  • Pipeline - support the sales team with SFDC reporting and insights to help manage the pipeline on a monthly basis to ensure best practice and visibility of the future opportunities.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting - provide analysis and reporting as required to support the overall UKI BDI budget, forecast and Annual Strategic Review (ASR) requirements managed out of our Crawley office.
  • Set Appropriate Business Goals - Support the BDI business in the setting of appropriate business goals including sales targets
  • Understand and Communicate the Direction of the Business - Gain meaningful insight into the underlying drivers of sales performance, through the administration and analysis of sales management tools (e.g. pipeline reporting) and facilitation of information flow (e.g. key upcoming deals, wins, losses). Use insights gained to challenge BU assumptions, and highlight potential upsides or downsides to projected results.
  • Support Profitable Growth - Perform pricing analysis utilizing the BDI pricing models
  • Process Improvement - Ensure the continuous development and ongoing management of a suite of monthly reports and provision of analytical tools to meet the standard information and analytical needs of the business unit.
  • Support Business Operations team on adhoc basis across the business as and when required.

We are looking for a team player with strong Business Partnering experience, with a good understanding of performance management, financial control and financial planning processes; or an experienced qualified accountant wanting a move into a commercial Business Partnering role. You will have strong analytical skills and understand the business drivers and environment in which the business operates and applies this to deliver value.
