We are working with a well established local employer who are looking for a technical compliance senior to hit the ground running in their busy practice.

Our client is an award winning practice and forward thinking employer dedicated to employee development and well being.

We are looking for an experienced compliance senior, ideally with auditing experience to assist with technical queries relating to financial reporting, anti-money laundering, FCA and Accounts rules reporting.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist with technical queries in relation to Financial Reporting, Audit, Money Laundering, Ethics, Company Secretarial and some specialist reporting areas such as Pensions, SAR, FCAetc.
  • Research technical issues and be able to produce a summary of findings
  • Support on software training in relation to clients' Accounts production and file documentation
  • Provide adhoc training on key audit, financial reporting, money laundering, and practical areas for staff as required
  • Provide assistance with our clients' accounts production software and audit and accounts file documentation software
  • Assist with Group compliance, to include review compliance with AML procedures, preparation of annual returns for our regulators, collate results from annual declarations
  • Assist with file reviews (including audit)
  • Help with drafting procedures and policy documents
  • Monitoring students training records, including meeting with students to discuss their records on a regular basis
  • Monitor new and proposed changes in standards/legislation
  • Assist with making AML reports
  • Draft guidance for our internal intranet, guidance for clients, news articles and responses to consultation documents
  • Assist with internal reporting - specifically for partners conferences
  • Investigate/follow up AML reports/issues

Job Requirements
  • Able to research and summarise findings concisely
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Preferably ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Audit experience required
  • Assertive and confident communicator at all levels
  • Well-presented and professional
  • Organiser: think ahead, effective planner
