Your tasks will include most data engineering disciplines. Specifically, data mapping from source to target (including working with users to map from screen UI elements to database elements), logical / conceptual data design for the purpose of data integration and transformation for onward reporting through a data warehouse.

You will provide a bridge between the data and the business reporting requirements.

Liaising with key stakeholders to develop an understanding of, and document, the data that is currently available and identifying data gaps and conflicts that will need to be addressed. Assisting the business with identifying the best way to effect change in the data landscape in order to meet the organisation's business goals.

About You

Minimum of 3 years in a data engineering role, with the ability to demonstrate and apply associated methodologies and tools to meet client needs.

Should have experience of the following:

·Building Business Glossaries in combination with business users of all levels of seniority

·Building conceptual data models

·Data Mapping from source to target data structures

·Modeling current processes as directed, and creating models for future state processes, where appropriate.

·Production of data catalogues that document the data landscape in source systems

·Production of target data architectures for onward reporting (e.g. star and snow-flake dimension modelling)

·Developing effective stakeholder relationships.
