Due to company growth, we are looking for a Test and Assembly Technician to carry out prototype assembly & testing of mechanical / electronic products to be based in Cardiff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assembly & testing to specifications while ensuring product complies with internal quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

·HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or an appropriate engineering or technical qualification such as City & Guilds for example.

·Experience in electrical and mechanical components, have an understanding of drawings and electrical specifications.

·Experience of working to Quality Standards and procedures such as ISO9001 is also desirable.

·Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

·A genuine interest in technology.

·Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

·Analytical approach with high attention to detail and accuracy.

·Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Windows, Word, Excel, etc

The Ideal Candidate will be required to:

·Set up products and equipment to perform product testing and record results.

·Assemble prototypes and prepare them for testing.

·Accurately collect, process and report test data.

·Identify and report anomalies to engineering and project management.

·Work closely with engineering and project management teams.

·Follow Test processes and procedures.

·Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times.

·Documenting and filing results, communicating the results with internal stakeholders.

·Inspect components, parts, products prior to testing.

·Work in an organised manner, keeping test area clean and tidy at all times.

·Produce reports based on test results and findings.

·Other duties may include but not extensive, packing of components/test equipment, updating test procedures, and other general tasks depending on company requirements.
