Here at Elevation we are partnered on a retained basis with a global manufacturing business, based in the heart of Sheffield. Founded over 50 years ago, our partners are steeped in history as one of the most successful businesses in their chosen field and are looking for a Production Manager to contribute to their growing success. The business turned over in excess of 50 million last year, with expectations to improve on this number and this year they have a headcount of circa 300 people.

The successful candidate would report directly into the site Director and would be responsible for circa 80 people and take accountability for production, quality, H&S and budget management within their chosen sector.

Main functions/responsibilities of the role:

-Ensure the quality policy is understood and implemented.
-Ensure all H&S rules are adhered to.
-Identify areas for cost reduction and productivity improvements.
-Manage the department budget.
-Improve productivity by measuring OEE and ESHs in line with targets.
-Identify improvement opportunities and prioritise in order of importance, this will be linked with CI incentives.
-Provide a strong communication link to line managers and team leaders, helping them develop their skills to pass on to their team.


-Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or a recognised engineering apprenticeship, together with a proven track record.
-Minimum of 5 years' management experience.
-Good problem-solving skills.
-Ability to analyse data.
-Willing to take on difficult manufacturing problems and rise to the challenge.
-Make sound decisions based on available data.
-Proven Man-Management skills.
