An exciting opportunity has arisen within an award winning law firm for a Finance Analyst. The company have established themselves as a high-end, service-driven company, committed to meeting the needs of a diverse marketplace and are continually growing and expanding into new markets. The growth of the company has been exceptional over the last 5 years.

The role is an exciting challenge for anyone wishing to move into a career in Finance Systems or take a step up in their Finance systems career. Finance systems/IT transformation is the fastest growing job market in the legal industry for top 50 law firms.

The ideal candidate will be an individual who has recently graduated with a 2.1 degree or above and is keen to kick-start their career within the Finance Systems field. If you have some finance experience and the systems aspect of a business is something that interests you then that is also desirable.

The business is continuously expanding and entering new markets and you will need to be a motivated self-starter within this entrepreneurial organisation to make sure the finance systems function is always delivering value.

Pay - £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits

Location - South London

Working hours - 9.00am - 6.00pm

The Role:
  • Work with the Finance and IT departments to provide support, advice and guidance to ensure they are efficiently and effectively using the firm's systems.
  • To analyse existing processes, review and define "best practice" and raise awareness and achieve consistency of that practice.
  • To assist in the upgrade and development of the Firms' existing financial systems.
  • To carry out full testing on new Finance system products.
  • Write the Firms' user guides for the Elite 3E software and produce videos guides to be placed on the Firms intranet MW Hub
  • To deliver classroom and WebEx training for Elite 3E to all users at MW
  • Develop and improve the existing reporting suite for Finance and other key teams utilising SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Senior stakeholder management, to communicate change, identity requirements and build relationships.
  • Take a lead in driving finance projects from conception to implementation and successful user on-boarding
  • Be an integral part of the Firms ICT 2020 delivery

Candidate profile:
  • Clear & strong work ethic
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Ideally an understanding of SQL/SSRS reporting (not essential)
  • Enquiring mind - asks questions
  • Desire to learn & grow
  • Initiative
  • Ability to understand not simply follow orders
