We are seeking an established Project Manager, a team player with excellent customer care and interpersonal skills who is; articulate, self-motivated and possesses the ability to prioritise and manage escalated queries. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be accountable for ensuring that resolution meets the relevant criteria, in line with performance indicators, quality standards, statutory regulations, and to agreed project time scales.

Working hours will be 9-5 Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for the right person and can be based from either or Plymouth or Bodmin offices. This business is well established and rapidly growing, there are many exciting technical projects for you to sink your teeth into and ample room for progression. They pride themselves on being proactive and innovative in their approach, and their reputation has landed them some very impressive projects across the UK.

Key Tasks;
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Represent the business as senior management at customer tele-conferences/meetings
  • Be a key member of the Executive Management Team, with responsibilities for day to management of business activities
  • Develop a strong knowledge of current projects, to a level where they can be discussed in depth and in great detail with clients as well as stakeholders
  • Formulate appropriate delivery strategies to support overall business priorities
  • Develop and maintain the Project Portfolio Roadmap, amending it as necessary dependent upon changing business needs and drivers
  • Ensure that all periodic and regular plans and documents are reviewed and updated in a timely manner to ensure that all Programme deliverables are achieved within their timescales
  • Help to define the deliverables, priorities and resource requirements for projects, and assist in management their development and on-time delivery
  • To conduct project presentations and compile reports to people at all levels (including board)
  • To communicate with both in-house and third party representatives, to ensure that project delivery is not hindered

Knowledge and Skills;
  • A proven track record of successful programme/project implementation, preferably from a software environment
  • Experience of large Public Sector Procurement and frameworks would be beneficial
  • Team management experience, comfortable managing large project teams
  • Experience of managing resources over a wide spread of geographical areas
  • Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Project, Agile working and development
  • Prince 2 qualification
  • Experience of working in an ISO compliant organisation is desirable
  • A confident individual, who can influence key decision makers in a consultative manner
  • Having previous experience of dealing with IT systems in clinical environments would be highly advantageous
