The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is a member-led, not for profit organisation which works to support the local business community and our network of members. Being a finalist in the World Chambers Competition, awarded one of the Sunday Times Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work for 2018 and 2019 and being accredited at Investors in People Gold level, these are exciting times to join the Chamber of Commerce.

We have an immediate requirement for a Finance Executive to join our team, providing cover for a period of maternity leave.

As well as being responsible for ensuring that all sales ledger cash records are processed (including the posting and allocation of sales ledger receipts), the successful candidate will ensure all credit balances are investigated and resolved within agreed timescales.

You will also deal with sales ledger queries, assisting with the preparation of year end schedules.

If you are able to demonstrate proven experience within a similar accounts receivable role, have an excellent telephone manner and ideally have experience in double entry bookkeeping and controlling books of prime data entry, then we would like to hear from you.

You should be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, preferably in accounts/finance, have past experience of operating computerised accountancy systems, whilst being customer focused with the ability to complete small projects independently.

The Chamber of Commerce offers a full benefits package which includes: 29 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, a non-contributory pension scheme and private healthcare. We offer a range of work life balance policies and are an equal opportunities employer.

Should you be successful, interviews are scheduled to take place on Monday, 07 October 2019.
