Job Title: Finance Analyst

Reporting to: Head of Reporting & Consolidations

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Job type: Permanent

Our client is a multinational Engineering, Metals recycling and Power generation group headquartered in London with a global presence in over 30 countries across 6 continents. With wider group turnover of over $15bn and over 10,000 employees in the UK alone, our client offers great career progression prospects.

Due to their rapid growth, our client has created a group reporting function that is now based at their corporate office in the heart of Central London. This small team is driving change and improvements within the corporate finance process, systems and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record, reconcile and analyse intercompany accounting activities including intercompany payment, cash application, and period end close. Investigate reconciliation differences and manage through to resolution

• To support preparation of half-year and annual statutory accounts as well as reports are completed per group's requirements - in timely manner and under relevant GAAP.

• To support roll out and implementation of consolidation tool from statutory reporting point of view - specifically in respect of Interco set up.

• Act as point of contact for queries regarding intercompany transactions/balances

• Review journal entries, compile account reconciliations

• Calculate and prepare financial reports/reconciliations, to summarize financial and operating information and reconcile differences

• Assist in the development of communications for the broader organization to improve / resolve issues with the intercompany process.

• Responsible for creation and implementation of end to end intercompany process - including documenting them within the Group standard;

• Responsible for all intercompany reconciliations (balance sheet as well as P & L) monthly, quarterly and annually.

• Assists with monthly and annual closings

Essential Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Attributes and Key Relationships:


• Part Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience

• 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role.

• Advanced Microsoft office skills - excel, power point, word etc.

• Experienced in using reporting and consolidations tool INFOR or equivalent.

• Experience working within a group reporting function is essential.

• Experienced in general accounting principles/concepts
