Lead Business Analyst

Fixed Term Contract to April 2020

Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

£45,000 - £50,000 pro rata

A Lead Business Analyst is required for a Motor Insurance business based in Milton Keynes, and as such, a demonstrable knowledge of the Motor Personal Injury Claims process is vital.

The purpose of the role is to focus and coordinate the efforts of multiple Business Analysts at the company on a certain project, working on the planning, determining how requirements will be managed, and reviewing deliverables created by the BAs on the team.

This is a fixed term contract position until 30th April 2020. Whilst no guarantee can be made, there are some possibilities that the contract could either be extended or made permanent at the end of the term; however, please note that the specific project is set to end on the above date.

  • Leading the BA tasks by completing and updating project documentation, adjusting schedules and determining daily priorities.
  • Creating and maintaining business analysis task allocation through estimating time and resources.
  • Providing project level analysis, producing required project analysis documentation.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships and expectations.
  • Facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, third party suppliers, project teams)
  • Collaborating closely with Developers to implement the requirements, and providing necessary guidance to Testers during the testing process.
  • Understanding and negotiating needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  • Meeting with the project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Managing the collaboration between business and technical teams throughout project.
  • Working with Delivery Manager to manage PEGA threats and blockers, and escalate appropriately.
  • Working with the PEGA Delivery team to align user stories to sprints.
  • Leading the business team in gathering requirements and choosing the best way to implement requirements.
  • Understanding business process management and business requirements.

  • Proven experience of being in a Lead BA role.
  • Understanding of the Motor Insurance claims process.
  • Experience of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience of leading, managing and developing a team, maintaining a collaborative and constructive working environment within a department and across the organisation.
  • Experience of working on large scale complex projects, with the ability to manage many stakeholders and partnering relationships.
  • Experience of communicating and presenting highly complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
