About the Digital Experience Executive role:

As part of the Digital Experience Team at Office Depot, you'll be responsible for driving Personalisation and Optimisation initiatives on a day to day basis. You will be working within a fast-paced environment across our European Viking and Office Depot online channels.

Key responsibilities of our Digital Experience Executive:

- Take the lead on several Personalisation and Optimisation pieces of work

- Provide expertise to support in the creation of the best possible insight-driven experiences that deliver a strong return on investment for the business

- Build engaging, targeted experiences and tests using our Personalistion and Optimisation tools in conjunction with the creative development team

- Work closely with a wide range of teams across the business to ensure requirements are clear and deadlines are met, e.g. marketing, creative, web analytics, UX/UI, business analysts, product owners etc.

- Review analytics and return on investment numbers for all activities, seeking continuous improvements in performance

- Understand customer journeys and behaviours, generating new ideas based on data, insights and problem statements

- Communicate plans confidently, clearly and concisely

- Support the business to roll out successful tests into our web platform

- Document, deliver and develop Personalisation and Optimisation processes

- Support tool integration and the ability to link internal data (product and customer) with the tools

Skills and experience required to be our Digital Experience Executive:


- Able to lead multiple pieces of work simultaneously, while setting and meeting deadlines

- Knowledge/experience in personalisation and website optimisation

- Commercial understanding

- Able to interpret data and analytics, understand KPIs and return on investment

- Able to work independently and as part of a group

- A good communicator

- Able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Able to resolve problems using your own initiative within a busy business environment

- Customer focused and results driven

- Data and insights driven

- A high-level understanding of marketing principles

- Able to link the business and IT

- Fluent in English (spoken and written)


- Knowledge/experience of product recommendations and customer journey

- Prior knowledge of working with Personalisation, Optimisation and Product Recommendations tool such as Monetate and RichRelevance

- Prior knowledge of working with an analytics tool such as Google Analytics or Coremetrics

- HTML/CSS knowledge

It would also be nice if you have;

- A high-level understanding of UX/UI principles

- A high-level understanding of web development processes

- Prior knowledge of the Hybris web platform
