We are therefore looking for an experienced Global Category Manager / Indirect spend. The role is newly established, and the purpose is to lead and develop the Indirect Category strategy and to drive related cost reduction initiatives globally.To serve as the Category "subject matter expert" and provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders, optimising both the development of the sourcing strategy and its execution.As the role is newly established, it holds a unique opportunity for the right candidate to build, shape and impact the future of indirect spend at Howden. What needs to be done?Develop and implement indirect sourcing processes to support business strategies, aligned with changing market conditions, new business opportunities, working capital related projects and cost reduction strategies.Analyse and evaluate the company's spending, supply partnerships, and identify new opportunities to develop and establish strategies for improvement on sourcing activities.Collaborate and support Functional leaders (Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, HR, Freight and Logistics, and Legal) to establish and align strategies to optimise indirect sourcing processes.Serve as a subject matter expert and advise stakeholders on all aspects of Indirect including supplier capabilities, economic forecasting and trends, supply market changes, global currency fluctuations, 'Should Cost' model etc. Accountable for the Preferred Supplier list for the Indirect category. Coordinate and support global contract management, supplier qualifications, negotiations, and performance management.
