Travel Sales Executive


OTE £20,000 - £21,000 with basic of at least £16k

Hunters' client is a vibrant and up-market travel company covering exotic destinations, requiring a Travel Sales Executive to ensure all incoming contacts are handled in an efficient and timely manner whilst meeting or exceeding all agreed departmental targets for customer service and sales.

37.5 hours per week, covering Monday to Saturday, on a four-week rota system.

WK 1:0900-1700

WK 2:0930-1730

WK 3: 0900-1700

WK 4: 1000-1800 or 1200-2000

Three in five Saturdays, with a day off in lieu.

20 days holiday per annum, increasing to 25 days through length of service.

Key Tasks and Objectives:

·Selling upmarket/luxury holidays to Bermuda & The Caribbean, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.

·Creating bespoke/tailor-made packages for travel agents and direct customers, using state of theart packaging system.

·Achieving and exceeding company, team and individual objectives relating to sales targets, productivity, product knowledge and attendance/punctuality.

·Building and maintaining great relationships with travel agents, direct customers and industry partners.

·Effectively and efficiently deal with any administrative queries.

·Maintain accurate information on the company's products, commercial campaigns and ancillary services.

·To exceed the customers' expectations and go the extra mile wherever possible.

·Attend educational trips when required to experience the product first hand, feeding back product knowledge to colleagues.

Skills and Knowledge:

·Ideally have experience in an independent travel agency and/or a tour operation (or similar selling environment).Certainly, your application will demonstrate a passion for travel and holiday destinations.

·Strong computer, CRS and administration skills.

·Dynamic sales professional with proven sales ability.

·Self-driven and results oriented with a positive outlook.

·Excellent communication and customer service skills.

·Excellent attention to detail.

·Ability to negotiate prices and availability with suppliers

·Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
