The Product Owner holds a key role and will be responsible for gathering and analysing market and technical requirements for a Cloud based SaaS product. The person in this role will also collaborate with Sales, Support, Developers, Technical Writing and Quality Assurance throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well engineered.

The main focus of this role will be to:-
  • Create and maintain prioritised product backlogs for the product, aligning them with the product strategy
  • Conduct meetings with product stakeholders to ensure all stated requirements are valid and meet the stakeholders needs
  • Provide direction to Business Analysts supporting the product on the conceptual design and vision
  • Deliver new features that maximise value for third party customers; monitor and report on the status of release schedules
  • Regularly communicate the value created by each new feature to all stakeholders
  • Act as the product and domain expert.
  • Unblock and focus your scrum teams throughout each iteration to ensure maximum productivity
  • Work closely with other Product Owners to understand all dependencies and impediments

The individual in this role should have:-
  • Extensive experience in product management ideally within the Payroll/HCM space.
  • Experience writing product requirements for agile development teams
  • The ability to conceptualise, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally
  • A thorough understanding of Software-as-a Service (SaaS) business model
  • Experience with Agile / SCRUM product development methodologies
  • A Bachelor's degree or similar
