Project AccountantJob DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Cost Analysis:Provide timely and accurate cost analysis, sound financial advice and counsel to project and mill management to assist in minimizing manufacturing costs and meeting mill objectivesIdentify and recommend to the role customers, opportunities for improving cost performance of the project to ensure the project stays within the budget confines and project scope.Identify & track one-time costs to manage against the projects defined budget.Work with the Central Accounting Team and Mill operations team to investigate unexpected results or adverse trends, and communicate outcomes to the Mill Management Team. Engage with the Senior Leadership Team and other key customers to provide SAP transactional support and financial analysis of the project.Ensure that all PO's/Invoices are approved within the project guidelines and adhere to CFI's. Manage project goods in receipt process and invoice mis-matching.Capital Investment Analysis:Assist in the preparation and control of the overall Capital Project authorisation and spending budget of the project.Provide relevant financial advice and analysis of project requests and post-completion performance reports (PEARLS) utilizing the CIDS capital investment tool.Assist in the preparation of appropriation documents to ensure that such requests identify the business justification as well as the technical proposal.Complete business analysis for changes in project in scope to understand impact (benefit or loss) against project scope and deliverables. This includes defining impact of any change in product specification and / or production loading appropriation assumptions.Internal ControlEnsure application of established corporate financial controls within the project & mill finance area of responsibility by the effective implementation and maintenance of financial policies and instructions within the project.Utilise knowledge and experience to identify day to day control issues and identify control implications resulting from changing site circumstances and enlist the support of the Internal Control Specialist to advise / resolve.Approve site internal control procedures / changes and co-ordinate update of control logs.ForecastsLead the preparation of mid-month cost outlooks and quarterly forecasts for the project by providing analysis and interpretation of financial and statistical data to project management by working closely with project & mill personnel to establish cost forecasts representing good normal operating conditions for end state operation and ongoing project costs.The Individual:Educated to undergraduate degree level in a business related subject or part or newly qualified in a recognised accounting qualification. Relevant experience, preferably within KC, with knowledge and experience of internal control activities.Global Leadership SkillsCommunication : ability to work in teams, explain concepts, assertive, self motivated.Closing Date: 2nd August 2019Global VISA and Relocation Specifications:This role is available for local candidates already authorised to work in the roles country only.
