We are looking for an ambitious management accountant to join our market leading manufacturing business which has a global reach to customers through our F&B showroom estate, e-commerce and our network of third party stockists.

Our management accounts team has a global responsibility and are based at our head office site in Dorset.

About the Role

Following a recent restructuring of the management accounts team a new role has been created for a qualified accountant to work on the manufacturing side of the business.

Reporting to the group's Management Accountant, the purpose of the role is to streamline financials for the operations, analyse costs across the production process and implement cost saving initiatives to maximise profitability across the Farrow & Ball group. There will also be regular opportunities to get out into the business and work closely with non-financial stakeholders.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Financial control of the manufacturing aspect of the company
  • Month End Accounts for the production and associated services
  • Responsible for budgets / forecasting / reforecasting for production and associated services
  • Full reviews of actual production costs vs expected standard costs
  • Attending & presenting at monthly Management / Operational meetings
  • Working within the team to deliver the management accounts team objectives and responsibilities including statutory compliance and reporting obligations

About You

This role would suit a detail orientated finance professional who enjoys working with data and who has a strong interest in costing and who has the following skills and experiences:
  • CIMA Qualified/ part qualified finalist accountant preferred (ACCA/ACA considered based on experience)
  • Recent experience of working in large fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Extensive data analysis experience and financial modelling
  • Strong Excel and ERP systems skills
  • An understanding of standard and weighted average costing is essential for this role
  • Strong communication skills essential
