An excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join an IT and Software business in a commercial finance business partner role.

My client have been through a period of change and have been successful in recruiting a 'best in class' finance function.

The candidate will be part of a high performing team that creates an environment where it is easy to continue to develop your current skill set.

The aim of the role is to support non-finance budget holders across the business with the guidance and challenge they need to control costs in their functions. Alongside that the role will also support senior stakeholders with insightful commercial forecasting that helps drive the business forward.

Key responsibilities;

Supporting a given division of the business, providing the team with commercial support and analysis work.
- Working with stakeholders across the business to determine pricing strategies.
- Preparing commercial bids ensuring that any potential deals are accurately costed, competitive and are the right decision for the business.
- Identifying areas of commercial and business risk within commercial bids and working to resolve or mitigate these.
- Delivering insightful MI reports to the Management team and Directors from across the business unit.
- Stakeholder management of the division on a day-to-day basis. Whilst some of the team members are on-site, others are not.
- Work to ensure the finance team are in contact with, and always looking to support, the operational teams across the business in new and innovative ways.
- Provide key management information to the operational functions in the business as well as being a key link between the finance department and the business. The role works hand in hand with the people across the business so it's important for the candidate to display extensive experience of cross-functional working.
- The opportunity to support other members of the commercial team with ongoing financial forecasting, Board Reporting and management of company's overall financial position.
