We are delighted to be working with a local employer who have a requirement for an Area Engineer to join their team based in Fife. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company.

Due to their continued growth and expansion, we are looking for a qualified Fire and Security Area Engineer who will be responsible for service, maintenance and some installation works of security systems.

They will be developing existing and new relationships, identifying new business opportunities and proactively servicing existing customers and reacting to their needs.


The role will be field based, predominantly in the Fife region but cover is required across surrounding areas in Scotland.

The key responsibilities of an Area Engineer include, but are not limited to:

Covering all aspects of work including service and maintenance, fault finding, small works and some installation work
Carrying out all work to defined quality standards as set out by industry regulations in a timely and efficient manner
Liaising with customers, the Engineering department and the Service desk
Communicate clearly with customers, and training them on the correct use of the system where required
Identifying opportunities to sell extra works and system enhancements
Completing all necessary paperwork in line with required timescales
Cover a 24 hour call-out on a rota basisPerson

We would like candidates to meet the following criteria:

Fully qualified security systems Engineer with at least 2 years' experience in the industry
Operational knowledge of hand/power tool
Experience of working on CCTV, Intruder and Access Control
Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Present a professional image through high standards of personal appearance including upkeep of work wear and vehicle
Honest and reliable
Good verbal and written communication skills, able to interact easily with customers
A positive 'can-do' attitude
Organised and efficient
Able to take responsibility and use initiative for up-skilling where required
Friendly, empathetic and great team-working skills
An ability to hit targets and work well under pressure
Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 pointsPackage
