Worldwide Education is currently looking for a wonderful candidate to work Monday - Friday, 10:30 am - 2:30 pm on a permanent basis within a lovely Nursery based in the Woking area. This is a great opportunity for a Nursery Assistant who is seeking a part-time position supporting a fantastic team who are passionate about children and providing the best learning experiences for them.

Purpose of the role:
·Covering the lunch period 10:30am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
·Work in partnership with staff and parents
·Ensure that the health and safety and well-being of children is maintained
·Deliver high standards of care and education

Main responsibilities:
·Contribute to the everyday running of the Nursery
·Help deliver a programme of age-appropriate activities designed to stimulate the children you are working with
·Adhere to the Nursery Safeguarding Policy and manage the safety of the children in your care at ALL times
·Report any accidents to the relevant member of staff in the room you are based in
·Have passion and enthusiasm for providing a fun and stimulating environment for children
·Be a proactive member of staff offering support wherever needed

Essential criteria:
·Good understanding of Safeguarding and children's basic needs
·Able to work independently and use own initiative
·Able to work as a team member
·Have a keen interest in childhood development and education
·Able to work at short notice where possible

Desirable criteria:
·Previous experience working in an Early Years setting
·Level 2 or above qualification in Childcare
·Hold additional qualifications; Food and Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding
·Previous experience working within a childcare setting

Bank staff will be employed by the Nursery on a zero hour contract, meaning bank staff can choose to accept or decline work where it suits them and get paid for the hours worked only.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record disclosure, together with safeguarding checks, including qualifications and references.
