Attwood Perks is excited to be partnering with a truly unique business based in Braintree who are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join their growing and innovative tech team on a permanent basis.

As IT Support Technician in this employee-focused organisation, you will be passionate about all things tech and be a pragmatic problem solver with the ability to work effectively within a long-standing team.

The Day-to-Day:
  • Responsible for all aspects of 1st and 2nd Line infrastructure support.
  • Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques.
  • Determining the best solution based on the details provided of the issue and assist colleagues through the problem-solving process.
  • Accurately categorise and record events, problems and their resolution. Create and maintain full documentation in line with existing procedures.
  • Foster self-service resolution in colleagues and escalate unresolved issues to the next level of IT support.
  • Provide colleagues with accurate information on IT products or services and offer feedback on outstanding tickets.
  • Execute and have input into internal IT related polices, processes and procedures.
  • Contributing to the office culture, conduct and discipline to encourage an enjoyable, productive and efficient workplace for all.

Skills Required:
  • Technical knowledge across the Microsoft Office suite including knowledge of installing, configuring and supporting.
  • Experience of both on-premise and cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies.
  • Manage preventative maintenance solutions, such as IT infrastructure monitoring and replacement programs.
  • Server Support, Desktop Support, Operating Systems and technical troubleshooting.
  • Use initiative to ensure that high importance deadlines and SLAs are met.
  • Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to produce clear and accurate documentation (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel, as required, to other offices and remote sites for the purpose of onsite support.
  • An inquisitive mind with a passion for customer service;

For an interested person an opportunity exists to develop SQL support on a number of database servers, this might involve running procedures supplied by development, deploying databases, first line problem exploration and monitoring of performance.
