This is a brand new position, responsible for monitoring, managing and maintaining the security of the IT infrastructure for the group of companies. As our newest Cyber Security Analyst you will be reporting to the Security and Compliance Manager/DPO, offering a broad scope for defining the tools and services being deployed as well as the development of your own personal skills.

Joining a collaborative Technology Department, this is the ideal opportunity for an individual with a true passion for the Cyber Security industry to play a crucial role in providing security support and guidance across varied technical projects and for day-to-day operational security compliance and planning.

As our newest Cyber Security Analyst, you will be accountable for the following areas of responsibility:
  • Own the overall cyber security within the business
  • Ensure sensitive data is protected in Cloud Services and is effectively managed and policed
  • Identifying suitable technologies to address the security policies and standards
  • Review and monitor security across all systems (including penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, etc. as appropriate) and implement uniform security principles
  • Provide reports on the status of overall security and work with managers across the Technology department and Security and Compliance Manager to ensure that security is maintained whilst implementing the strategic plan
  • Enforce security standards and procedures and ensure that a secure by design culture is maintained
  • Assisting in the development of monitoring and alert systems
  • Introduce new and emerging security technology as appropriate and by requirement
  • Security Incident Investigation
  • Security Review and Information Security Risk Assessment
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Security Strategy
  • Enforce data breach policy and help department managers with data identification, remediation or deletion
  • Provide cyber security advice and direction to projects and business initiatives as required
  • Ensure change initiatives incorporate information security requirements
  • Support the Security and Compliance Manager with data protection and privacy requirements

Skill Requirements

Essential to have:
  • Experience working in a previous security analyst role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
  • Confidence to communicate with all levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP etc.)
  • Understanding of patch management principles across hosted, virtual and cloud services
  • Working knowledge of network structure & devices (switches, routers, proxies, access points, etc.)
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Data analytics skills and experience
  • Demonstrate high standards of integrity

Nice to have:
  • Experience of implementing access controls
  • Experience working in a cloud-based (AWS) environment
  • Experience of security framework and standards implementation (NiST, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.)
  • Preferably educated to a degree level or above in an Information Security or IT related discipline, or with an equivalent professional security certification (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISMP, CISSP)
  • Incident Recovery and/or Business continuity process knowledge
  • Supplier relationship management experience
  • Multiple Platform Administration (Windows, Linux, Android & IOS)
  • Data loss prevention tool experience
  • Project management experience
