The Role

Interviews will be held for this role on Wednesday 14th August, 2019

Bango is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and capable Part or Newly Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant or equivalent experience to join the growing Bango finance team in our Cambridge, UK office. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the successful candidate will be will need to be an enquiring mind able to work independently and work well with other team members.
  • Working within a high functioning team which includes a Management Accountant, Operations Accountant Revenue Controller and Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • Responsible for group balance sheet schedules including prepayments and accruals
  • Maintain the group fixed asset register, including the preparation of monthly depreciation journals, tracking additions & disposals
  • Prepare the monthly management accounts for some group subsidiaries, e.g. Japan and Italy
  • Prepare the group consolidation and intercompany journals
  • Variance analysis narrative for monthly group accounts
  • Monthly spend analysis and review for key stake holders in the business
  • Production of group VAT returns in both the UK and Italy
  • Support Management Accountant in the production of financial budgets
  • Compile lead schedules for the company's external auditors and assisting with queries where required
  • Liaise with local accountants for subsidiaries in Spain, Japan and Nigeria to ensure local statutory accounts and corporation tax returns are filed on time.
  • Adhoc projects as required

Essentials - Knowledge
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA).
  • Experience of IFRS.
  • Ability to use excel to a moderate level (vlookup, sumif, pivot tables)
  • Work with large data quantities whilst maintaining accuracy
  • An understanding of International group accounting
  • Experience of working with Sage 200 (or other leading accounting / ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Able to work under time constraints and handle multi-task delivery
