Finance Assistant

My client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team in Reading. You will be working with like-minded individuals who are hungry for success and to develop their careers within the company that rewards people for results not the length of time they have worked for the business.

Finance Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Assist with subcontractor's payroll - matching weekly timesheets to contractor invoices and paying them weekly
  • Monitoring outstanding contractors' timesheets
  • Raising Contractors' bank payments
  • Entering invoice and payment data onto Sage (Purchase Ledger)
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Entering data onto Excel reports
  • Managing subcontractor's payroll queries
  • Filing, shredding and any other ad hoc duties as required within the department

Finance Assistant Requirements:
  • Must have previous Accounts Assistant experience
  • A-Level standard with GCSE grade C or above for Maths and English
  • Computer literate (MS Office - especially Excel and Word)
  • Proven administration skills
  • Good, clear and concise communication skills - verbal and written
  • Experience of processing contractor payroll - preferred
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Positive, hands-on and proactive approach to work

We require the Accounts Assistant to have a good level of literacy, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a professional approach to work and a willingness to learn.

The Finance Assistant will need to be highly organised and able to multi-task. Computer literacy is essential including a good knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Applicants must have previous Accounts Assistant experience.
