Do you have a background in mental health? Are you interested in helping children with behavioural and emotional issues within an educational setting? An SEMH provision based in Durham is looking for a passionate person with experience or a qualification in mental health and who has preferably worked with children in the past, ideally the chosen candidate would be keen to work 5 days a week.

With a large increase in pupils attending these sorts of provisions across Durham, it is vital that we supply our schools with the very best of support staff that have the ability to understand and meet the emotional needs of the pupils. The role will include having one to one sessions with the children to support them through issues they may be facing in their day to day life, putting activities together that will enable the pupils to engage with one and other, working very closely alongside the teachers to support the children with their educational needs. The working hours for this role will be 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with 30-45 minutes for lunch and is to start in the new academic year.
