Deputy Team Leader Ambulatory Wound care service
This Vacancy We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join the expanded ambulatory wound care service. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse who is enthusiastic about delivering wound care services in a clinic setting. The clinic will predominantly deliver wound care for lower leg wounds but also other complex wounds for ambulatory patients who are able to attend for appointments in a clinic setting. The clinic is supported by the Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialists. Your role will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for people referred to the service, as well as providing leadership support to the team. Who we are looking for The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people. Demonstrable post registration experience is required along with substantial knowledge of lower leg ulceration assessment, management and maintenance and some tissue viability knowledge on which to build. The ideal candidate will be a nurse prescriber and keen to develop their leadership skills including supporting and leading staff as well as collecting meaningful patient data. This post provides an ideal opportunity for nurses with a broad knowledge and experience of community nursing, but equally applications from suitably skilled hospital based nurses are welcomed.
