Elevation Accountancy and Finance are currently recruiting for a leading manufacturing and distribution firm in their Head Office in Bradford. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. As the Assistant Accountant, your position will play a core role in managing the management accounts for one entity of the business. Reporting to the Finance Controller, your main duties will include, but not be limited to: *Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, pre-payments and fixed asset management *Provide monthly reporting with analysis to budget holders *Prepare balance sheet reconciliations *Prepare annual statutory accounts and tax pack *Prepare VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and statistical returns *Prepare information for annual audit *Monthly commentary and variance analysis *Budget planning *Prepare bank and cash reconciliations *Daily postings completed to a timely manner *Ad-hoc duties to support the team and Finance Controller The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: · Experience working within a similar role in a fast-paced environment · AAT Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA · Confident user of Microsoft Excel - Pivot tables, LOOKUPS and sumif's · Ability to communicate effectively with Financial and non-Financial stakeholders · Resourceful, energetic and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail This is a fantastic opportunity to have full ownership of a varied role where you can excel and make your own, as well as working in a supportive and progressive business.
