We are looking for a confident and ambitious individual to join our busy Finance team as a Trainee Accounts Assistant, with the view to complete an Apprenticeship to develop their skills to become an experienced Accounts Assistant. You will report to the Senior Accounts Assistant, perform responsibilities such as invoicing and staff expenses, whilst working towards your Level 3 Accounting qualification.

A typical day
  • Data input
  • Staff expenses
  • Process daily payments
  • Bank runs if required
  • Invoicing
  • Credit Control
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Faxing, photocopying, scanning and filing
  • Making and receiving telephone calls
  • Assistance with Month End
  • Ad hoc tasks

What makes a good candidate?
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Sage systems
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Accurate typing and/or data entry skills
  • Numerate
  • Professional
  • Hard working
  • Good attention to Detail

Entry requirements
  • Five GCSE grades C - A* (or 4-9), including Maths and English
  • Level 3 qualification (BTEC, NVQ or equivalent)
  • B grade at Maths GCSE (all accounting roles)

Working hours:
  • 9am - 5:30pm

Included in qualification:
  1. Training on the 18 month Standard Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT3) apprenticeship.
  2. Being a WhiteHat apprentice means access to awesome social events, sports teams, insight/career days with other apprentices to grow your network, as well as your own personal Coach who will guide you through the qualification to help you achieve your full potential.
  3. As part of your WhiteHat Apprenticeship, you will have access to our Future Leaders Foundation modules to develop 6 key competencies, underpinned by well-being, self-awareness, motivation, conscientiousness, effectiveness and grit.

What's next:

After your Accounting apprenticeship progress into a full-time role as Junior Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeping Assistant, Junior Tax Consultant or Audit Assistant. You can also complete the ACCA qualification into Chartered Accountancy
