Within the role it will be imperative that Finance is able to report accurate profits and control all significant risks on these projects at all times, and it is in these areas that you will hold ultimate responsibility.

Aside from this, core areas of responsibility held within the role:

· Provide accurate estimate at completion (EAC) on each project
· Financial risk management on each project - cashflow, cost provision etc.

· Comply with internal controls and compliance across each project

In addition, the role holder will be involved with activities such as forecasting and a wide range of commercial activities that are related to each project. In order to be successful in the role, there will be a certain level of robustness required, that will allow you to challenge suppliers and project managers on every area that feeds in to the final delivery and quality of each project.

The role of Project Controller is a particularly interesting one and will be suited to not only those who have held a similar role previously, but also those who are currently operating within a commercial finance / business partnering, customer facing environment. From a qualification perspective, those who are fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA or CA), part-qualified or qualified by experience will all be considered. The key criteria and requirement is to hold the relevant experience and background as laid out above. This will be a challenging but highly rewarding role. The company themselves have a fantastic reputation both here in the UK and overseas, and operate at the forefront of their sector.
