This Graduate Teaching Assistant role is open to a high-achieving and personable STEM graduate who would initially like to gain paid class-based experience, prior to teacher training. If you wish to train to teach the following academic year, this school has an outstanding teacher training program.

STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant - Person specification:

For this role you must:

·Have a 2.1 or 1st degree

·Degree in a STEM subject

·Have good subject knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics

·Have an interest in working within education

·Be considering becoming a teacher

STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant - The role:

As a STEM graduate teaching assistant you will work within the department that matches your degree subject. You will use your excellent subject knowledge to positively impact the department. You will organise, plan and deliver 1:1 and small group intervention sessions in order to enable students to achieve, and in some cases excel, within your subject.

This STEM graduate role will fully enable you with the skills and knowledge required to then go on to train to teach from September. This outstanding secondary school is one of the very best schools in the borough and has an excellent track record of supporting STEM graduates to become exceptional teachers.
