We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join our manufacturing client at their head office based in South Cheshire. This is a varied role, will suit a methodical and motivated individual who is passionate about a career within Finance.

You will be working as part of a wider finance team and supporting all aspects of the Sales Ledger function. Working closely to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Main Duties
  • Producing and processing sales invoices and credit notes
  • Processing timesheets
  • Assisting with Credit Control in line with company payment policy
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship(s) with all departments (particularly Customer Support), colleagues and customers
  • Processing of card payments
  • Post payments and allocations
  • Assist with contra payments and working closely with purchase ledger
  • Provide support to the credit controller
  • Other ad-hoc finance office duties as required

This is a key role within the finance department and therefore requires an experienced individual who has a passion for working in finance. An idividual who has an understanding of the department.

Experience Required

The right person for this role will have a strong background in a sales ledger and/or credit control position. Have a flexible approach and be confident communicating with internal departments such as customer service and operations.

Essential skills

You should have strong communication skills and be a confident problem solver. We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude, self-motivated with good organisation skills and attention to detail.

Good excel skills. Atudying towards AAT or an individual with experience of operating in this role.

Location - South Cheshire

Salary - £18.2k + Excellent benefits such as Pension contribution, with no mandatory employee deduction, private health care, critical illness cover and death in service insurance.
