Finance Director
The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the finance function & team in an international fashion distribution business. The role is full time based at the Lancashire head office and reports to the Chairman, MD & Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate must be a qualified accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA, and currently in a Head of Finance, Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer, Financial Controller position, ideally with demonstrable experience as a senior finance professional in either an e-commerce or FMCG environment. You will be commercially astute, strategic, with an understanding of operations, exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of navigating complex data, and of managing multiple and constantly evolving business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:•Lead the finance team (12 indirect/direct reports)•Contribute to company strategy by providing accurate financial analysis, insight and input•Own the financial business model•Support the business on raising finance & managing external interfaces with banks and other financial institutions•Carry out financial modeling & planning•Cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders•Present financial reporting package to board•Oversee budgeting & forecasting•Regularly review accounting processes to ensure they support the needs of the business•Work with the senior management team to set short and longer term financial forecasts•Compliance and statutory requirements; overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.•Developing the financial control environment within the business; cost control, including warehousing and other operational budgets•Review and agree budgets with members of the Board•Plan and manage audit process from start to finish•Timely and accurate preparation of Financial Statements•Management accounting and reporting•Oversee the IT requirements of the business•Oversee the warehousing operations of the business•Oversee the HR & H&S of the business
Key Experience:•Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven experience of business partnering.•Demonstrable experience of leading and managing teams.•Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders through excellent communication and presentation skills.
