Based in a Head Office location near Farnborough, a brand new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an expanding international business. This role will be reporting to the Group Accountants and take responsibility for timely, accurate and compliant month end close for two main Head Office entities and some dormant companies.

Responsibilities include:
  • This is a new role and will include completing a handover from the existing accountants carrying out the various functions and documenting processes.
  • Maintaining the month end calendar and underlying processes for all Head Office entities to ensure that month end close and reporting is completed in accordance with group reporting deadlines.
  • Preparing journals as required and controlling the prepayments and accruals for the head office entities.
  • Completing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts including bank and cash.
  • Raising head office intercompany recharges and liaising with UK and overseas operations.
  • Reconciling intercompany accounts monthly.
  • Liaising with the AP team to ensure correct coding of invoices, and with the Treasury team as required.
  • Assisting in preparing Government statutory reports.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects.

Key requirements for this role:
  • At least 2-4 years bookkeeping experience.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 is essential.
