Cambridgeshire County Council are currently working alongside Spencer Clarke Group to recruit an Park's Project Manager

The roles are Full Time and operates on a 6+Month ongoing contract We are looking to get people started as soon as possible.

The hourly rate is £25 to £30 Negotiable dependent upon experience and we are hoping to get someone started as soon as possible.

Your Role

As a Future Parks Programme Manager for Cambridgeshire County Council through Opus LGSS, you will lead the Future Parks Accelerator project working with and inspiring all of the project partners and wider stakeholders to deliver the project objectives to time, to budget and to high quality.

The Future Parks Accelerator (FPA) is a new national strategic initiative from the National Trust, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government. It will enable a cohort of nine places across the UK to develop innovative solutions to secure and enhance the future of their public parks and green spaces. Seven local authorities and the Local Nature Partnership across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough have joined forces and secured FPA support to develop new ways of working in partnership, in order to secure a bright future for the county's parks in a context of unprecedented growth. The two-year programme will work to develop a strategic, cross-sector partnership approach between Cambridgeshire and Peterborough's local authorities, developers, charities, communities and businesses.

Duties will include:

* In collaboration with the Executive Board and the Project Team, scope, co-design and develop a new 25-year green space strategy, delivery model and business plan
* Identify and influence key stakeholders within and outside the key partner organisations, in order to build widespread consensus and secure high-level support for the models developed through co-design.
* Support effective communication and collaboration, both internally and externally, by establishing efficient reporting systems, communicating with stakeholders, running workshops and facilitating co-operative working.
* Establish and maintain robust performance management, budgetary control, risk management and reporting systems, in order to manage cross-cutting workstreams and ensure high-quality deliverables are achieved in a timely manner.
* Procure and manage consultants and specialist teams brought in to support the partners' strategic thinking on varied elements of the FPA programme.

Essentials ;

* Educated to Degree level or equivalent, ideally within business management, project management or an environment/science-based subject.
* Experienced project manager (ideally Prince 2 or Agile) from a range of sectors including parks and landscapes, programme management, planning and development
