Here in our London office we are looking to recruit for a Compliance and Operational Risk Officer responsible for the provision of Front Line Unit Compliance and Operational Risk services to the Equities Business. You will undertake certain aspects of the Global Compliance and Operational Risk Program and Risk Assessment process for the Equities Business, and the requirement to ensure that monitoring and testing steps are appropriately designed, rolled out and continually monitored for potential enhancement opportunities

  • Management of the compliance and operational risk elements of the electronic and algorithmic trading businesses
  • Provision of effective challenge to First Line of Defence and Risk Self Assessments to identify risk and control issues and drive risk mitigation action
  • Input into the regulatory change processes to ensure that regulatory changes are effectively embedded within the Bank
  • Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are drafted and training is rolled out against them and that regulatory changes are reflected in the Bank's Monitoring and Testing programs
  • Interaction with various regulators and exchanges include reacting to enquiries, escalation of certain issues and preparing for regulatory visits and reviews
  • Ensure that the Equities businesses are provided with an adequate level of Compliance and Operational Risk support and training, both via online and face to face
  • Working with business and supervision to ensure that themes such as Conduct Risk are being adequately addressed

Core skills
  • Knowledge of MAR, MIFID2
  • Programming and data management skills in order to carry out detailed analysis of model logic, calibration parameters and ad-hoc data projects (VBA, SQL, Python etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level of Relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of Equities & eTrading
